I'll dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face Jake Paul in an eight round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the pair confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two time unified title holder Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Fighter's Attitude

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, declared.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to genuinely try to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "ridiculous" after Ngannou rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, meanwhile, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he stated.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Success

However, the novice remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge financial rewards.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it emphasized just how surprising this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
